Eventful week

Well, I've been meaning to post for about a million days (or so) because there's been a lot to write about.

First, we went home last weekend and it was fantastic. I mean, really great. We soaked in love from family and friends, went to Keystone, met our new niece and nephew, and enjoyed a Michigan spring weekend. We miss the green rolling hills of Michigan so much. I mean, mountains are cool, but green hills are awesome.

There were two notable memories from Michigan: one, I had a sleepover with my senior girls who I LOVE and got way too little sleep, but I love them so much I didn't care. It was amazing to see them. Then, on our LAST morning, when it was freezing cold, Phil got up at 7am, but on a ski, and went slalom skiing for the first time ever. It was so cool to watch. He really is becoming athletic!

When we got home (back to Greeley... this "home" thing is getting confusing) NoCo had some crazy weather - tornados, mostly. We didn't even know anything was happening until our electricity went out (oops). One town around here was hit pretty hard - our town was hit minimally. A big tree across the street from us is down. And the wind was crazy.

Finally, today we found out that our church has less than two months to leave its building, where we just built a stage and rewired stuff... *sigh*. I can't say I miss the days of leasing buildings for church. But this is really a great opportunity because we don't have a good place for childcare, and the new place we're looking at has enough space for a bigger auditorium AND for childcare. Of course, it costs more, and that's an issue, but maybe it's a step of faith... ? So, if you're a praying person, you can pray for our new church and the impending move.

See - I told you this was an eventful week! I will post more often (hopefully) so that I can stay on top of these things. :)
