Good-bye, our DLF

It's been quite an adventure, with many of my posts including updates about our Dear Little Friend (DLF). It started on Easter weekend, when we met our little brownish-gray friend with a sweet tooth.

Through the last month or so, he's gotten more ambitious and less fearful. For awhile he was running through the kitchen on a nightly basis. Then he found some M&Ms in a bag and started carting those to his home.

We liked him, we really did, but we couldn't have more of his kind running around our house and eating all our candy. Once he became arrogant enough to not even run from us when we were in the room, we had to set the traps.

The first time around, our DLF ate the peanut butter off BOTH the traps and escaped unscathed. We got smarter and re-set the traps with a Honey Nut Cheerio AND peanut butter.

And thus ended the life of our DLF. Rest in peace, little brownish-gray mouse.
