This week was a bittersweet, but wonderful time. Philip and I had a *gasp* social life this week - fantastic! Sadly, our friends this week were all from Michigan, but it was still wonderful to see them.
On Wednesday, we had a much anticipated and VERY memorable visit from our friend Dylan and his parents. We went to the Denver Zoo for the afternoon. We knew we were playing "chicken" with the weather, which was threatening a rain and/or snow storm. The storm eventually won the game, and about 75% through the zoo, we were throughly soaked. It is a fantastic memory.
We dried off on the way back to Greeley, where we had delicious dinner and then got to show off our house. Then Dylan got to spend the night with us! It was excellent, especially for Phil, who was in his element talking tech with his "mini-me." The next morning Jayne & Gary (parents) took us out for breakfast, and then they headed out to complete their Colorado adventure. It was SOOOO good to see people from home, and terrible to say good-bye.
THEN, on Friday, we had my friend Carly and her sister Jenny over. We had a great dinner at our house and played the game Whoonu (great fun). Then we joined them on Saturday for a hike up Horsetooth Rock.
I desperately need to get pictures up. I promise I will do this soon. We have some great ones.
(P.S. The mouse is still around, and no, we haven't bought a trap yet.)
