Well, this week has been VERY exciting! There is so much to say that I probably should have written about three posts this week. Alas, I somehow find myself too busy to post. This will change, though, I am sure.
First, we REALLY started our first Escalante group! This is thrilling. I'm so happy that Phil commented "I feel like I have my wife back." The group was amazing. It started on Tuesday. We have ten girls in the group, age 13-17, and they are super girls. They are learning self-defense. They all were quiet when we started, but laughed and were really talkative by the end. The whole thing was so blessed by God, and I am overwhelmingly thankful. My excitement and joy can not be put into words.
Today, Phil and I went on a hike to Horsetooth Rock (again). This time we were determined to make it to the top. We kept hiking, and hiking, and hiking, and hiking... FINALLY we made it to the top of Horsetooth Rock. All that hiking was entirely worth it. The view was stinkin' amazing. (Pictures are coming). We'll be going back, that's for sure. Seriously. It was a fantastic hike.
And, I SAW our Easter visitor last night. It was terrifying. I screamed. He is little, gray, and mouse-looking. Phil thought he heard it under the bed while we were sleeping.
I guess we're buying a mousetrap.
